Breakfast Skillet Recipe

There is nothing better to have for breakfast than eggs. There are so many different ways to make them, depending on how much time you have before work or what ingredients you have available. Here is a versatile recipe that makes the most scrumptious eggs! It is also quite easy to follow so there is nothing to worry about even if you are an amateur in the kitchen.

If you are looking to add a twist in your eggs and have a fancier breakfast, this skillet recipe is the way to go! In fact, you can also make this recipe for dinner! You will need the following ingredients:

Hash browns: Preferably frozen
Cheese: Choose any of your choice
Spices: Chili powder, garlic, cumin, and fennel seeds
Green onion


Start by cooking the hash browns. Add a tablespoon of olive oil in a cast iron skillet and add the hash browns, continue cooking until they are browned. Then add in the spices and salt. Cook for 2 minutes, then add the cheese and eggs. Make sure to reduce the heat to low now. Follow by adding in the green onions. At this point, you can also add in any vegetables if you want. Some common choices include bell pepper, baby kale and spinach, mushrooms, avocado, and zucchini.

If you want to add more eggs, make divots for the eggs and add ΒΌ tablespoon butter into each well and then crack an egg in each well. Make sure to add a sprinkle of additional shredded cheese on top. After 3 minutes, transfer the skillet to the broiler and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the whites of the eggs are set. Before serving make sure to garnish with cheese and green onions!
