We often are jealous of the children of celebrities, since they get fame and wealth from their parents. Well, as it turns out, not all celeb parents want to leave their legacy to their children. Many of them have already made it clear that their money will go to charity when they pass, and here’s why.
Bill Gates
Bill Gates followed Warren Buffet’s lead, as they established The Giving Pledge, an agreement between billionaires and millionaires to declare that their money will go to charity. Gates believes that children should understand the importance of labor and should work.
Mike Bloomberg
The former mayor of New York has also signed the pledge, promising to give his money to charity. He feels as though the greatest gift he can give to his children is a better world. Elton John
Elton John and David Furnish decided not to give their fortune to their sons, deciding to give their billions to charity in order to teach their children the value of money, hard work, and respect. John believes as though giving kids a silver spoon ruins their lives.
Mark Zuckerberg
Facebook father Zuckerberg and his wife also joined The Giving Pledge, with the goal of sponsoring projects to improve education, healthcare and social issues. Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher
The star couple declared that trust funds rid children of motivation and deprive them of the chance to make it themselves. The money if this couple will also go to charity, however they are ready to invest if their children have a solid business plan.
