Meet The Woman Who Creates Intricate Sculptures Out Of Gingerbread
When we hear the word “gingerbread”, most people associate it with the cookies and houses that people like to make at Christmas time. Well, Swedish food artist and motion designer Caroline Eriksson isn’t like most people. Every Christmas, she creates stunning and highly detailed sculptured out of her gingerbread dough, and the results are pretty amazing.
In 2013, Eriksson won a Norwegian baking competition, and she has been creating these gingerbread sculptures once a year ever since.
Growing up, her family had a tradition of making gingerbread houses every year. But at some point, she decided she wanted to make new things. Bigger things.
Today, she wows her fans with impressive new creations each year
Making Groot was one of her big accomplishments. She used lots of syrup and flour to make sure the dough was sturdy enough. The whole thing took around 5 weeks to create. Now that’s dedication!
