Peach Iced Tea

Summers call for those cool drinks but iced teas are an ultimate favorite. The iced teas are known to give the pure summery feel while giving that perfect caffeine kick. Furthermore, peach iced teas are a perfect way to begin your summer morning. This article will not only give you the recipe for the perfect peach tea but will also give you some tips and tricks in ensuring that you ace the recipe.

 

To begin with your recipe it is essential that you choose the two-three ripened peaches. Make sure that the peaches are juicy and fresh. Peel them and dice them into small cubes. This will ensure that the surface area of the peaches is maximized. After you have chopped your peaches, add them to a saucepan. Add in 1 cup of caster sugar and heat until they have caramelized. You can even add water in the beginning for a normal flavor if you do not prefer caramelization. Heat on the stove until your peaches have become mushy. This will take around 10-15 mins over high heat. Make sure that you do not burn the sugar otherwise, there will be a burnt smell in your tea.

The next step is to turn on your kettle and boil in some water. Add in your favorite black tea. Let it simmer for 2-3 mins or until you have reached your favorite consistency. Let everything cool for an hour- if you add anything in cold ice it would split so let it rest. Resting will also enhance the normal flavor of the puree. You can then serve the peach iced tea by adding 3-4 tablespoons of the peach puree alongside some ice. Add in your black tea. You can also add in some fresh mint for a more enhanced flavor. Serve chilled.
