There has been a massive influx of food trends in the previous years but one notable food trend that has stayed for a very long time are the smoothie bowls. These bowls have been all over our social media and Instagrams and they are here to stay. Smoothie Bowls are basically just thicker versions of smoothies that you can eat from a bowl. You can top off your smoothie bowl with multiple toppings including bananas, apples, chia seeds or some dry nuts.

The major components of a smoothie bowl includes fresh or frozen fruits. Frozen fruits are much preferred because they are the ideal way to maintain the thick consistency of the bowl. Fresh fruits can also be used but you will have to ensure that some sticking agent such as honey is added to ensure the consistency is perfect. You can make these smoothie bowls for your breakfast and add in granola or muesli to begin your day in the most healthy way. Furthermore, pureed foods are easier to eat and digest. These bowls are not only good for your health but also ensure that you have an easy ready-to-go meal. Just pop your favorite fruits in the blender and blend until well combined. You can occasionally just add in your favorite milk. Preferred options may include oat milk, almond milk and flavored milk.

Smoothie bowls are known to contain good fats, proteins and carbohydrates. Eating one bowl of smoothies can substitute for your one-time meal. Moreover, these bowls are a quick and easy way to incorporate foods that you do not like. Just blend them, even add in your favorite color and flavoring and you will be good to go.
