Pink Fairy Armadillo

 

 

The pink fairy armadillo is the smallest species of armadillo and was first spotted in 1825 by Richard Harlan. It is a desert-adapted animal endemic to central Argentina.

This little guy is not what he seems to be. The Sunda flying lemur is, in fact, not a lemur at all. It also can’t fly! It is, though, one of the best flying colugos in the world.

The first thing you need to know about the aye-ayes is an endangered species. They can be found only on the island of Madagascar. Many natives believe the aye-aye are an omen of bad luck and kill them on the spot. Today they are protected by law. The aye-aye are related to humans, chimpanzees, and apes!
