The Easiest Butter Chicken

Butter Chicken, like Chicken Tikka Masala, is one of the most popular curries in any Indian or Pakistani restaurant in the world. This Butter Chicken dish is one of the greatest you’ll ever try, with aromatic golden chicken chunks in a delectable creamy curry sauce. You’ll appreciate how simple it is to prepare at home, especially with garlic butter rice and fresh baked Naan bread.

Murgh Makhani is the name of the dish, and it comes from Northern India.
It’s a mild curry compared to many Indian curries, and it’s become almost everyone’s favorite curry even outside of India! Butter Chicken is insanely easy to cook, with tender and juicy chicken owing to a delightfully flavored yogurt marinade. The curry sauce is very delicious and an instant hit!

Chicken – 300 grams
Yogurt- ½ cup
Red Chilli Powder- ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder- ¼ tsp
Garam Masala- 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Lemon Juice- 1 tbsp
Tomatoes- 150 grams
Sugar- 2 tbsp
Chilled water- 60 ml
Cinnamon- 1 stick
Cloves- 3
Cardamon – 2
Butter- 125 grams
Cashews- 20

Prepare the Butter Chicken Marinade and marinate the chicken for at least three hours (overnight is best). Then, cook the chicken and in the same skillet, make the sauce. Just heat the butter, add in cinnamon, cloves and cardamom with the ginger garlic paste and fry until golden brown. Add in the pureed tomatoes and cashews. Then add in the cooked chicken. Cook until the oil separates. Top with dried fenugreek leaves for that extra restaurant flavor.

You can serve your butter chicken with garlic naans. Avoid incorporating veggies as in contrast to Western cuisine, Indian cuisine lacks fresh side salads, partly because so much Indian food is vegetarian, you’ll eat a lot of vegetables!
