The Easiest Chocolate Fondue Recipe

Spring has barely begun and we are already anxiously waiting for summer. But the truth is we have at least a couple more months of chilly nights until then. And what better way to take advantage of the last few cold nights than making a deliciously warm chocolate fondue to share with our friends and family?

It doesn’t take too many ingredients to create the perfect chocolate dip: all you need is semisweet chocolate, milk chocolate, whole milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Put the chocolate and the milk in a small bowl, and combine them in a barely simmering water bath. Slowly stir until the mixture is absolutely smooth. You can also add more milk at this point. Then, remove from the heat and incorporate the vanilla and a pinch of sea salt. Serve the fondue while it’s still warm.

In case it starts to harden as it goes cold, reheat the fondue in the microwave in short 15-second bursts stirring every time until it melts completely. As for what you should dip into the fondue, the sky is the limit. You can dip anything in this delicious chocolate fondue. Some of our favorite options are fresh fruit, such as strawberries and bananas, cookies, rice crispies, and marshmallows.
