Among the many people still out there doing their jobs amidst the recent health crisis, our nation’s postmen and women are right at the top of the list. But apparently, they’re not just delivering our mail – some of them are providing some much-needed entertainment as well. Meet Jon Matson, a postman from the UK who is determined to make people smile by arriving at their doorstep dressed in hilarious costumes.
Aviation Fascination
The 39-year-old dad and occasional cyclist is also an aviation fanatic. However, his full-time profession is not flying planes, but rather making sure everyone’s mail gets to them safely and soundly. The people of Britain sure are lucky to have him. Not every mailman would be willing to go the extra mile to put a smile on people’s faces.
Knight In Shining Armor
In case you were wondering how your recent ASOS delivery arrived right on time, you can thank these brave men and women in uniform. While most of us get to stay indoors and out of harm’s way, there are still plenty of people who are going to work and making sure society continues to function properly. It seems chivalry is alive and well in the 21st century, after all.
School Spirit
Matson may be the one dressed up as a cheerleader here, but we’re definitely rooting for him too. The postman is not just successful in making people laugh, but his funny costumes are alleviating people’s high-stress levels as well – including his own. After all, these are dangerous times to be working in, especially on the streets.
Barmaid Of The Decade
Confidence is clearly key. Not everyone would be willing to walk around outside in a costume like this one. But then again, a lot of the people on Matson’s route are also his friends. “They’re fantastic people,” he said, adding “I’m lucky to deliver in the same area where I live, so a lot of them are my neighbors and some are friends.”
